I am a confused soul. A power tool toting, tree climbing, punk music listening, horror movie loving, girlie-girl. The kinda chick to be sporting 3-4 bruises at any time and wearing a frilly skirt to show them off. I enjoy dressing up in costumes at inappropriate times, impromptu tea parties, vicious thrift store scouring, comic book reading, painting, going to work (no really, I <3 my job), and of course, making jewelry. If you need to contact me, shine the Bat Signal into the night sky, and I will find you. Or, you could e-mail me. It may be quicker. pirate-skwrrl@hotmail.com

I've been creating since I was knee high to a chipmunk, but I'm new to this selling thing. I dabble in all sorts of delicious odds and ends, but my main focus is jewelry. In any case there should always be something sumptuous to feast your eyes upon.
I do custom work! If you are looking for that special something (i love doing bridal jewelry) that I just don't quite have, I'm happy to work with you!

I know that I can't really sell jewelry through DeviantART but I want to use this as another way to gain some exposure. Please visit my ETSY page for purchase info. If you are unfamiliar with ETSY, CHECK IT OUT! Its an online maketplace for people to sell their passions (handmade goods). I love the place but am looking for a little more traffic. So go take a look around, join up, and maybe even do a little shopping. I would love you to be wearing that little piece that caught your eye.

Hey you! How are you doing?! Long time not speak. Are you going to Animazement this year?

Thanks for watchin'!

I know right? Been quite a while. I kinda avoid my old deviant art page now. A few creepy stalkers kinda drive me crazy. Plus I really haven't been drawing all that much lately. Yeah I'm going. Have you had any issues with securing a table this year? The new guidelines caused me some shenanigans. I was worried about your comic book and video game art. Are you just focusing on anime to avoid problems?

Wow, sucks about the stalkers. That sounds unpleasant.

I got my table, but I'm glad you mentioned the new guidelines. I hadn't read the rules (assumed nothing had changed), and had no clue about that new rule. I need to contact my friend in charge of Artist Alley and ask her how that affects a lot of my art. I'm not a fan of that new rule. I mean, I can understand if you had someone drawing American comic superheroes in traditional American comic style, and nothing else. But for someone like me who draws a lot of anime but a lot more comic/gaming, from what I understand I can't sell the non-Japanese shit at all. Although, one could argue (and I will, if need be) that most anything from companies like Nintendo are Japanese, really. And, I also feel that my Micro Stumpies are "chibi" and thus Japanese-ish, but I'm not sure they will agree.

But it looks like I might need to halt all drawings that are not anime and focus entirely on anime now... damn.

Damn, damn, damn. This is a bit unexpected, and a bit frustrating.

Shit. I'm sorry to rain on your parade. If you haven't heard from them by this point then you may be ok. I would definately give your friend a buzz to double check though. My issue was I don't think I sell what they were expecting. I told them Harajuku style jewelry and their minds went strait to Harajuku 1992-1999. (big pink bows, candy colors, lots of shitty plastic shit)I watch current Tokyo street trends and base my designs on that. So I think (after an email fest) I will be ok. I just have to send them pictures of my actual products by 4/25.

Nah, you didn't rain on my parade, just alerted me to a possible problem. But it should be fine. She responded to my questions and told me I probably won't have any problems. I still have a lot of "anime" stuff that I sell. Whether it's anime fan art or just my American/Anime hybrid style, of sorts. Besides, I will make the argument that my Micro Stumpies are "chibi", and therefore anime inspired. And I will make the arguement that things like the Ninja Turtles are ninja, and thus, inspired by Japanese culture. And Avatar is obviously American anime, but still anime. So, yeah. That shit counts, yo!

And I'll simply start doing more anime fan art to increase the anime percentage in my work. No biggie.

It sounds like you'll be fine too, hopefully. Are you getting a balcony or ballroom table?
